The ROSSETTI Sustainability Action Plan

The uncertainty of our climate future demands that we as designers embrace sustainable practices in every facet of our work. Prioritizing sustainability is not just a mantra; it offers a vision forward in a rapidly-changing world as a means to educate, innovate and push our work farther than ever before.

Here at ROSSETTI, we are addressing these critical issues through the development of our Sustainability Action Plan, led by the ROSSETTI Sustainability Lab. Launched in March of 2021, the lab is a vital component of a larger overall initiative to integrate sustainable practices into our work through learning, exchange, discourse, and outreach.

The Sustainability Lab is represented by a cross-section of passionate ROSSETTI employees across Creative, Technical, and Project Management. We discuss the many facets of sustainable design, supply meaningful feedback for ongoing projects, and collectively implement tools for sustainable design and marketing strategies across the firm.

Our work has been threefold:

1. Discussion: Create a seedbed for ongoing discourse around sustainability and design.

2. Outreach/Workshops: Garner expertise and exchange ideas with others in the field.

3. Implementation: Crowd-source ideas through feedback and design charrettes on ongoing projects. Test and benchmark projects with energy modeling and other tools.
