ROSSETTI is proud to support MassTimber@MSU and help shape Tall Timber: The Future of Cities in Wood, a traveling exhibition now on view in Detroit. In addition to sponsoring the exhibit, our team provided architectural design services within the exhibition space and led the full graphic identity, including signage and exhibit graphics. These elements were designed to clearly communicate complex ideas while creating an engaging and accessible experience for a wide audience.
Originally developed at the Chicago Architecture Center in 2023 and later expanded for an 18-month installation at the Skyscraper Museum in New York City, the exhibition now arrives in Detroit to engage the public, practitioners, and decision-makers. It invites visitors to explore how mass timber can play a meaningful role in the future of our cities.

The exhibition showcases the benefits of mass timber through built and conceptual projects that demonstrate its potential as a high-performance, low-carbon building system. Using architectural models, material samples, and visual media, the exhibit features office, housing, and mixed-use developments, along with mass timber tower concepts ranging from 30 to 80 stories. Together, these projects highlight how mass timber can support urban density and architectural expression while reducing embodied carbon and lowering the environmental impact of taller, denser buildings.
Tall Timber is on view through February 28 at 719 Griswold Street in Detroit. The exhibition is hosted by MassTimber@MSU and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. It is sponsored by Bedrock, ROSSETTI, Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights, The Christman Company / Christman Constructors, Inc., and Metro Signs & Lighting.
