A development that looks to break down barriers
The ROSSETTI team was asked to help create a vision for Pullman Park, the site of the former Friend of Detroit School in Detroit’s Lafayette Park.
The vision for Pullman Park was to remove the barriers that had been put up around so many other Lafayette Park communities and to integrate the development into the downtown fabric. The team wanted to create density but also allow for open greenspace in which residents and visitors alike could breakaway and take a moment to relax and reflect. The Pullman Park development aimed to provide a mix of unit typologies at for-sale quality. It wanted to leverage easy access to existing transit options that included the Dequindre Cut, bike lanes as well as MoGo bikesharing. An activated street level encourages walk-up units, retail, and/or amenity space. All while providing excellent quality landscape amenities that are in line with Lafayette Park.
