Design Unifies LA Lakers’ Franchise + Culture
The headquarters and training center represents a cultural shift for the LA Lakers franchise. The design establishes a philosophy of integration between basketball and business operations, and celebrates basketball as a lifestyle.
The 125,000 square foot, two-story building focuses on the mind, body and spirit of the players from preparation to training to recovery. The heart of the building features a practice and 750-seat exhibition court, programming all other functions around this core. The interplay of light between floors, program for public and private functions and assimilation of the South Bay Lakers G-League team set a new standard for pro sports headquarters and training.
ROSSETTI’s concepts to integrate UCLA Health into the exterior and interior of the building helped secure the multi-year sponsorship deal.
