rebranding a Detroit entertainment landmark
In 2016, ROSSETTI was re-engaged after designing the original casino-hotel twenty years ago to design the high-limit and high roller gaming rooms to appeal to millennials while still meeting the needs of existing customers. The design team created an upscale environment with custom lighting, plush seating, jewel-colored furnishings, and cage finishes on translucent glass panels paired with innovative technology upgrades. The new design reflects the level of quality and attention to detail that the Rock Gaming brand portrays.
The newest entertainment experience coming to the casino-hotel is Monroe Market, a multi-million dollar immersive culinary experience that’s part of the rebranding overhaul when Greektown Casino Hotel transitions to JACK Detroit Casino-Hotel. Located in between the hotel’s skywalk and the entrance to the casino, the market will be the centerpiece of the JACK renovation - stretching 12,000 SF of space. The notion of a “street fair” was the inspiration behind Monroe Market as there will be six culturally diverse vendors ranging from a Ramen Bar to Soul BBQ in the space that will be integrated together in a village-like setting.
