The Green Bay Packers' Titletown Park got a nice boost Thursday as its ice skating rink opened and a new daily light show was launched as another step in the Titletown District near Lambeau Field.
The park, which includes a full-size football field and sledding hill, opened in mid-September and is a big draw for fans heading to games at Lambeau Field. The district also includes a Lodge Kohler hotel, Hinterland Brewery and a Bellin Health sports medicine clinic.
The Packers front office envisions the Titletown District along Lombardi Avenue as a destination for Packers fans, tourists and Green Bay-area residents. And that was certainly the case Thursday evening as hundreds of people packed the skating rink and park to check out some of the new offerings, which also included 46 Below, a bistro that serves quick bites, comfort food and drinks for park visitors.
